Starting before dawn, we travel through the Sacred Valley toward Soraypampa, the trailhead beneath snow-capped Salkantay (6,271 m / 20,574 ft). From there, a short but steep hike leads you to the shimmering glacial waters of Humantay Lake (4,200 m / 13,780 ft), one of the most photogenic spots in the Andes.

Cusco – Mollepata – Soraypampa

Early pick-up from your hotel in Cusco (~4:30 AM). After a 2-hour drive through the Andean highlands, enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast in Mollepata before continuing to Soraypampa (3,850 m), the starting point of our trek.

Hike to Humantay Lake (4,200 m)

Begin the hike uphill on a winding trail with incredible views of the Salkantay and Humantay snow-peaks. After ~1.5 hours, arrive at the lake and marvel at its turquoise glacial waters. Your guide will explain its cultural and natural importance. Take your time for photos and relaxation at this stunning spot.

Return to Cusco

Descend the same path to Soraypampa, where our transport awaits. We stop for a delicious buffet lunch in Mollepata before driving back to Cusco, arriving around 4:30 PM.
