Once a group departure has been confirmed and officially opened for booking, we do not cancel the departure simply because the group does not reach a particular number of participants.

This allows travelers to plan their flights, accommodation and time in Huaraz with greater confidence.

Prepare in Huaraz before heading into the mountains.

Many of our multi-day trekking programs reach 4,000 meters and above.

For this reason, we strongly recommend arriving in Huaraz before your trekking departure and allowing enough time for proper acclimatization.

As a general recommendation, we suggest planning 2–3 days of acclimatization before starting a multi-day high-altitude trek, depending on your experience, physical condition and selected itinerary.

We do not recommend arriving in Huaraz and immediately starting a demanding high-altitude trek.

If you are arriving from Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Lake Titicaca or another high-altitude destination, tell our team about your previous altitude exposure so we can help you plan appropriately.
