About Her Andes
HER ANDES is a specialized women-only mountain adventure collection by Inkaland Treks.
It was created from our own experience in the mountains and from the women who have been part of our team for many years.
For us, this is not simply about creating a trekking product for women.
It is about creating a space where women can explore the mountains together, challenge themselves, build confidence, share experiences and connect with the Andes.
Why we created Her Andes
Women have always been part of the Inkaland story.
Our founder, Edita Oncoy, began guiding travelers in the Cordillera Blanca and Cordillera Huayhuash in 2005.
Over the years, women have also become an important part of our guiding, operations, logistics, reservations and communication teams.
HER ANDES grew naturally from that experience.
We saw an opportunity to create selected mountain journeys specifically for women while also creating more visibility and opportunities for women within the local tourism and mountain industry.
Our Philosophy
Women-only does not mean women-only staff
HER ANDES departures are designed exclusively for women travelers.
Whenever possible and confirmed, we aim to assign experienced female mountain guides.
However, the composition of each expedition support team depends on availability and operational requirements.
Some departures may include male members of our professional mountain support team.
We believe transparency is more important than making promises we cannot guarantee.
