Day 1 – Huaraz → Colcabamba (Collonge Lodge)

Drive: 45 km / 28 mi | Altitude: 3,300 m / 10,826 ft

Morning drive from Huaraz (3,050 m / 10,006 ft) to Colcabamba, passing rural landscapes and views of snow-capped peaks.
Arrive at Collonge Lodge, a comfortable family-run lodge surrounded by fields and local life.
In the afternoon, take a walk around the village, visit nearby farms, and meet Andean families.
Dinner and overnight at Collonge Lodge — your first taste of authentic highland hospitality.

Day 2 – Colcabamba → Collón → Huaripampa → Paria Camp (3,800 m / 12,467 ft)

Distance: 10 km / 6.2 mi | Max Elevation: 3,800 m / 12,467 ft | Hiking Time: 5–6 h

After breakfast, start trekking directly from Colcabamba.
The trail ascends gradually through the Colló Valley, surrounded by farmland, stone houses, and grazing animals.
We continue into the Huaripampa Valley, following rivers and small Quechua communities before reaching Paria Camp (3,800 m / 12,467 ft) — a peaceful site beneath towering peaks.
Overnight at Paria Camp.

Day 3 – Paria → Punta Unión Pass (4,750 m / 15,584 ft) → Taullipampa (4,250 m / 13,944 ft)

A challenging but rewarding day.
The trail climbs steadily toward the Punta Unión Pass, offering 360° views of Alpamayo, Artesonraju, Taulliraju, and Huascarán.
After reaching the pass, descend into the wide, grassy valley of Taullipampa (4,250 m / 13,944 ft) — one of the most beautiful campsites in the Andes.

Day 4 – Taullipampa → Arhuaycocha Lake (optional) → Llamacorral (3,700 m / 12,139 ft)

Distance: 14 km / 8.7 mi | Max Elevation (optional): 4,400 m / 14,435 ft | Hiking Time: 6–7 h

Optional morning hike to Arhuaycocha Lake (4,400 m / 14,435 ft) — the iconic viewpoint of Alpamayo, often called “the most beautiful mountain in the world.”
Continue descending through the Santa Cruz Valley, passing turquoise lakes, waterfalls, and meadows until reaching Llamacorral (3,700 m / 12,139 ft).
Overnight at Llamacorral Camp.

Day 5 – Llamacorral → Cashapampa → Huaraz

Distance: 11 km / 6.8 mi + 95 km / 59 mi (drive) | Max Elevation: 2,900 m / 9,514 ft | Hiking Time: 4–5 h + 3 h drive

Descend through the narrow Santa Cruz Canyon, surrounded by waterfalls and lush vegetation, until reaching Cashapampa (2,900 m / 9,514 ft).
Private transport will be waiting for your return to Huaraz (approx. 3 h drive).
Arrival by mid-afternoon.
