Day 1 – Huaraz → Llanganuco Valley → Yanapaccha High Camp (5,000 m)

Depart from Huaraz (3,050 m) and drive north through Yungay to the Llanganuco Valley (3,900 m) — home to the turquoise lakes Chinancocha and Orconcocha.
Begin a 3–4-hour hike across rocky moraines to High Camp (5,000 m), set near the glacier base.
Evening briefing, equipment check, dinner, and overnight in tents.

Day 2 – Summit Yanapaccha (5,460 m) → Llanganuco → Huaraz

Start early (~2:00 AM). After gearing up, rope into teams and climb gradual ice slopes that steepen to 40°–60°.
Use crampons, ice axe, and fixed lines for the final section to the summit ridge.
From the top, admire panoramic sunrise views of Chopicalqui, Huascarán, Huandoy, and the Llanganuco lakes far below.
Descend carefully to camp, pack up, and continue down to the valley, where private transport returns you to Huaraz.
Arrival in Huaraz by late afternoon.
