Day 1 – Huaraz → Llaca Valley → Morrena Camp (5,000 m)

Depart early from Huaraz (3,050 m) by private transport to Llaca Valley (4,200 m), entering Huascarán National Park.
A 3–4 hour hike across rocky moraines leads to Morrena Camp, where you’ll enjoy dinner and rest surrounded by majestic peaks and a star-filled Andean sky.
Camping: Morrena Camp (5,000 m)

Day 2 – Summit Vallunaraju (5,686 m) → Llaca Valley → Huaraz

Start before dawn (~2:00 AM). After a short moraine approach, rope up and begin the glacier ascent, climbing steady 30°–45° snow slopes with crampons and ice axe.
After 4–5 hours, reach the summit of Vallunaraju for a spectacular sunrise over the Cordillera Blanca — with clear views of Huascarán, Ranrapalca, Ocshapalca, and the entire Callejón de Huaylas.
Descend safely to Morrena Camp and continue to Llaca Valley, where private transport returns you to Huaraz by afternoon.
End of expedition.
