Nevado Pisco being one of the most popular snow-capped summits of northwest Peru’s Cordillera Blanca offers fantastic views from the top out over some of the region’s most iconic mountains.

Pisco mountain at 5,752m makes for an excellent Andean mountaineering expedition accessible from Huaraz. these great views combined with a relatively simple ascent make Nevado Pisco one of the top summit’s ideal for novice climbers in the Andes.

The overall ascent is only rated as moderately difficult but does require quite a high level of physical fitness. As a result, a combination of first-time climbers and more experienced mountaineers ascend to Pisco mountain as a preparation for one of the nearby 6.000 peaks.

Regardless of your goals, the views from the summit are a treat for everyone. Enjoy panorama vistas out over other snow peaks. Among the other popular, Artesonraju and Pirámide de Garcilaso, all of which you will see to the north. Meanwhile, Chacraraju is easily visible to the east and Huascarán can be seen to the south.

After breakfast in your Hotel, from Huaraz our crew will pick you up and drive along the Callejón de Huaylas in the north side of Huaraz. Passing some traditional Andean towns and enjoying panorama views of the Cordillera Blanca peaks at the East side.We make a stop in the ancient town of Yungay, this city was buried by an Avalanche that fell down from Huascarán Mountain in 1970, the New Yungay (2500m), from here we have driven up to the Llanganuco Valley, at the entrance  we will  stop and register in the National Huascaran Park Control, after we will visit the two lakes of Llanganuco ( Chinancocha and Orconcocha) we  finish our 3 hours’ drive from Huaraz . At Yuraccoral  at 3900m – Load our equipment’s then we will continue walking up to the Base Camp of Pisco, if it is not cloud we will appreciate the fantastic peaks of the Mountains, Huascaran, Chopicalqui, Pisco, Huandoys. We will arrive to the base Camp Pisco accompanied by the donkey drivers and mountain staff around 3 hours hike overnight at 4600m.

Meals Included: Snack, Lunch, Tea Time and Dinner.


After breakfast in the morning, we will have free morning to check our climbing gears, after that we will have early lunch , then we start walking up to the Moraine Camp, it will takes 2 hours half walking over rocky path; arriving to the Moraine we will have hot tea and dinner, overnight camping at 4850m.

After early breakfast in the Moraine Camp at 2am we will start climbing up for about 1 hour to get the glacier line, here we’ll have to put our climbing gear to start climbing up to the Pisco Summit 5752m, after climbing up for about 1 hour we’ll get a quite all of 40mtrs and 50 ° of difficult, after this all we have to climbing for about 2 hours half to get the Summit, where we’ll enjoy the nice views of different mountains such as: Artesonraju, Alpamayo, Caraz, Huascaran, Chopicalqui, Yanapaccha, Chacraraju, Brogui, Huandoys, etc. and a splendid turquoise lake (69 lake), after few minutes we’ll start descending  to the Moraine Camp, when the porters will be waiting for us already with our equipment’s  to continue go down to the base Camp, arriving to the Base Camp around 3pm, overnight in the Base Camp.

Afte a regarded  rest we descend to Cebollapampa for about 2 hours, there will be waiting our private transportation  to go back to Huaraz, passing Orconcocha and Chinancocha lakes, lunch on the way, then we will, then we will continue go down to  Huaraz- We will take you back to uour hotel.
